Description

Boughton PCC is seeking to procure a suitably qualified and experienced conservation Principal Contractor to carry out conservation repair and consolidation works of the ruins of Old St John's Church, Boughton, Northamptonshire. The ruins are a Scheduled Monument constructed of masonry with earth mortar and lime pointing and heavily infiltrated with ivy in places. The contract will require a range of highly specialist conservation works and techniques including soft capping, earth mortars and hot lime. The project value is likely to be up to 70,000 excluding VAT and is being funded primarily by Historic England through their Heritage At Risk Grant programme.
