Description

To introduce four bike libraries and associated cycling activities in Pocklington, Market Weighton, Goole & Howden (Active Towns Project) based around local need and demand with a view to encouraging and supporting communities and residents to be physically, mentally and socially active. The project will consist of bike loans, promotional events and activities eg led rides and the opportunity for residents to access cycle maintenance workshops. The contract will see collaboration with ERYC officers (Active Towns & Road Safety Teams), local organisations (Town & Parish Councils & schools) and voluntary sector groups including sports clubs. The offer will be promoted via the Active Towns website, press, social media and a range of publications including town cycling & walking maps.
