Description
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (The Trust) is comprised of a 600 bed acute general hospital located on the outskirts of the City of Chester, an 86 bed community hospital located in Ellesmere Port, a number of West Cheshire community based health clinics and a shared service Microbiology Laboratory in Wirral. The Trust has awarded a contract following the completion of a mini competition exercise carried out in acordance with the Procure Partnership National Contractor FrameworkLot 85 Demolition and Site Preparation. The purpose of this procurement is the complete demolition of the existing Women and Children building currently situated on the hospital estate. This includes but not limited to the demolition of all internal walls and MEP services, demolition of existing superstructure, demolition of basement structure, levelling of ground area and back filling the basement structure area once removed. All asbestos removal will be carried out prior to demolition and will not form part of this contract. Also included in this project is the façade detail to the existing Neo-Natal Unit building which is staying in situ once demolition is complete and the installation of new retaining wall where the basement section is cut away from the remaining section of basement which extends out into the highway area on site.
