ASC0204 - Short Term Residential Care Beds

Leicester City Council (the Authority) undertook a procurement process to identify and appoint service providersfor the provision of 12 short- term residential care beds for individuals who require a short period of assessment of up to 6 weeks to enable them to return home or to be moved into the right setting for that individual, eitherfollowing a hospital stay or where an individual has experienced a health or social care crisis in their own home. The Authority required these 12 beds to be provided, 6 each, within 2 separate care homes located within thegeographic boundary of the city of Leicester. The Contracts will be for an initial period of 2 years to commence on 3.7.2017 with an option to extend, subjectto satisfactory performance outcomes and agreement by the Authority, for a further period or periods up to atotal of 3 years, taking the contract term to a maximum of 5 years.
