Description

BEIS seeks a contractor or contractors to undertake a Rapid Evidence Assessment (REA) of demand-side response (DSR) approaches to, and responses by, smaller energy users to inform ongoing policy development and implementation in this area. The study will focus on drawing out findings relevant to Great Britain (GB), but draw on a wide range of evidence, including from the UK and international deployments. It will improve understanding of the motivating factors and barriers that drive small energy user decision making around DSR; and the products, services, policies and engagement strategies that could be most effective at achieving DSR at scale amongst these users. The project will require a range of analytical, social research and energy sector expertise. The contract is to be for a period of 6 months (to be finished by the end of March 2017) unless terminated or extended by the Department in accordance with the terms of the contract.
