It is the Contracting Authorities preference to enter into a contract with The Stroke Association for a 1-year contract plus a 1-year extension option the reasons detailed below. The proposed contract will commence on 1st April 2022 (noting that the current arrangements have a 3-month extension option). If there are expressions of interest to compete to deliver the requirements, it should be noted that the 3-month extension option in the current contract will be enacted in order to deliver a competition process in accordance with Public Contracts Regulations 2015, for a new contract to commence for service delivery from 1st July 2022 for a period of 1 year with the option to extend for a further 1-year period. If no expressions of interest are received, the Authority shall enter into a contract with the incumbent provider to ensure continuity of services, relying upon a Regulation 32 exemption of no response/no requests to participate have been submitted in response to this notice.
