Description
The works being tendered will form new Digitisation Administration and Quality Control Offices and an Image Capture Studio to support the relocating of record scanning and digitisation activities to the ground floor of The National Archives Q1 building. This refurbished space will be created by some demolition and deconstruction of existing boundary walls, consisting of brickwork, blockwork and glazed walls and the construction of new room boundaries, separating the surrounding office space with new partitions including new door openings. The existing ceilings are to be removed and replaced at room boundaries only, with the diversion, rationalisation and adaption of existing mechanical and electrical services. The spaces will require adaption of the existing VAV air conditioning system, lighting, small power, door access controls and fire safety detection and annunciation devices. Existing floor finishes are to be replaced. Tender packs are available on request, by emailing procurement@nationalarchives.gov.uk
