Description
3.1 INTRODUCTION 3.1.1 Sheffield City Council provides a Food Service to deliver Official Controls and meet other statutory duties and functions under food hygiene and safety legislation. 3.1.2 The authority's Food Service Plan and food inspection programmes runs from 1st April to 31st March. For the current year, ending 31st March, 2020 there is a batch of approximately 500 inspections that need to be inspected. 3.1.3 The Services to be tendered will consist of programmed food hygiene inspections in Commercial Food Premises. 3.1.4 The Council will manage and maintain its own back office administration of the service in-house. This will include the management and allocation of files (paper and/or electronic), relevant documentation/paperwork, input of inspection ratings onto the internal database. The Council will manage and maintain the enforcement areas of the Service. 3.1.5 The Contractor will be required to meet the Councils contract requirements on quality standards, performance management and efficiency. 3.1.6 The Contractor will be required to cooperate with the Council to improve efficiencies and fulfil commitments to continual service development and improvement, including flexible mobile working solutions.
