Description
A contract was awarded to deliver the marketing for the collection of workforce data, through SIR Data Insights (www.sirdatacollection.org.uk) from the academic year 2016/17. This was done in accordance with the Foundation's marketing and communications plan. The Foundation is funded by government to collect workforce data from the Further Education (FE) sector, in order to give access to valuable and useful workforce data to policy makers and the sector itself. This is known as the Staff Individualised Record (SIR) data collection. Prior to 2016, data was collected at individual staff contract level from colleges through a bespoke SIR system, whilst summary data was collected from other parts of the FE sector through a summary workforce data survey. The strategy for marketing the SIR Data Insights service this year was to: - Increase the number of submissions from all parts of the sector - Increase the completeness and quality of submissions - Engage with senior managers as well as data collection staff - Position SIR Data Insights as a source of strategic value to providers - Position SIR as the key staff data source in the sector.
