Description
A weekly street market has been operating in Cannock Town Centre every Friday since November 2013. This popular street market provision has added value and vibrancy to the town centre, complementing existing retail activities and increasing footfall in Cannock for the benefit of all town centre businesses and the local community. The current street market appointment is due to end during November 2020. Building on the success of the current Friday street market, the Council's aspiration is to enhance this excellent foundation to provide a twice weekly market (Tuesdays and Fridays) and thus promote Cannock as a destination to attract new and repeat shoppers and businesses to the town centre as well as increase the frequency of visitors to Cannock. PLEASE NOTE: The successful operator will be required to pay the Council a concession fee for consent to operate the street market. This concession fee will initially be £10,000 per annum.
