Description
The Customer will work with the Contractor and other partners to demonstrate that people with learning disabilities can enable employers to succeed as organisations/businesses. The Customer's intention is to pilot an approach to work placements and recruitment for people with learning disabilities in the water sector and the Customer and Contractor to provide practical case studies and a supporting pack that could be used to increase uptake in other organisations. The aim is to give practical examples of how to overcome barriers to finding employment in order to enable social mobility and have a positive impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities - many of whom are not in employment or training. The following comprises indicative actions to be carried out by the Contractor during the contract though they will be subject to amendment by agreement between the customer and contractor: Design Structure and Principles of the pilot - In consortium with partners, preparation of full outline and outcomes Partner identification and recruitment - For all stages of process, assuming the intention to scale Workshop 1 - role identification, discussion and testing Follow-up pack - what to do once a role has been identified - Straightforward practical steps to ensuring it is a meaningful role and that the structures around it are set up to make it a successful and positive experience for all stakeholders Process Development - review of the identification process and production of JDs - Presentation of aspirational roles ready for market Working to find potential placements- via partners - Roles sent out to partners for placement process to begin Workshop 2 - with the teams where the roles will start - Preparing for success and honesty to build strength Launch - people start their new roles or placements Evaluation process - What we have learned and how that can influence what we do in the future Write-up - simple report - More importantly, review of the pack and edit based on experience End Result - independent use pack for scale across sector The Contractor and Customer shall work with each other to agree dates and any further information for the delivery of the items specified in points 1 to 11.
