Description
The successful contractor will be required to undertake the refurbishment of the steel spigots that are located within the four interconnected reinforced concrete pontoons that provide the dampening mechanism to the pontoons when there is a sea swell, tidal surge or wave movement to reduce the vertical and lateral movement enabling a more stable platform (berth) to carry out cruise operations at the Liverpool Cruise Liner Terminal. The maintenance inspections carried out identified that major repair /refurbishment works are required as the steel spigot hinges and the nuts and bolts that secure the spigot to the concrete face of the pontoons have fractured or come loose. Currently temporary measures have been put in place to maintain operations, but it is essential repairs are carried out before the 2017 Cruise season which starts in April 2017.
