Description
Canterbury City Council, on behalf of Shepway District Council, is seeking suitable contractors to carry out corrosion protection and concrete repairs to Coronation Parade, Folkestone. Coronation Parade consists of 84 reinforced concrete arches were built in 1938 to provide coastal protection for the cliffs behind. The structure also acts as a maintenance roadway for the National Grid Transco cross channel interconnector facility located at the eastern end. Works comprise of patching repairs to the concrete structure and cathodic protection of the reinforcement by way of impressed current probe anode strings placed into holes drilled into the structure. The scope of works are detailed in the PQQ, ITT and supporting documents attached to this opportunity.
