**THE CLOSING DATE FOR THIS TENDER IS 7TH MARCH @ 14:00, DO NOT APPLY DIRECT TO THE BUYER** UK Shared Business Services Ltd as the Contracting Authority is putting into place a contract for the purchase of a 3-axis CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) Vertical Milling Machine (VMM) with minimum travel of 560 x 560 x 500 mm on XYZ axis respectively. It will be installed in the RAL Space Millimetre Wave Technology Group's (MMTG) Precision Development Facility (PDF) at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, alongside other CNC milling machines. It will manufacture the aluminium formers required for the production of black body calibration targets for the MetOp Receiver programme and will also be used for larger items which cannot be accommodated by other machines in the PDF.
