(NU/1353) Supply & Installation of Scaled Out Network Attached Storage (NAS)

Newcastle University wished to appoint a single supplier of Scale out Network Attached Storage (NAS) for the next 3 to 5 years to be deployed in both of its data centres; Claremont Tower and Databanx. Scale out NAS will be used to store Newcastle's unstructured data and must be resilient across the two data centres with the ability to suffer a single data centre failure and still maintain service. The initial requirement is for 89TB of resilient storage per datacentre with a view to expand as required over the next 3-5 years. Note that this opportunity was only made available to those suppliers appointed to the Servers, Storage and Solutions National Agreement (SSSNA), Lot 4 (Reseller-led Solutions)
