Description
Cotgrave Town Council is looking for a supplier and installation of a new playground adjacent to the newly refurbished shopping area. Council requires an experienced, reliable, responsible and well established contractor to create an exciting and inspirational, destination play area to further enhance the changes to the area. The company will have an annual turnover of at least £1m. The area is a relativity level piece of ground measuring 31.50 by 19.00. A cad file showing the area is available. The area to become the playground is currently where the police station and its car park is located. This building will be demolished in January 2019 and the area is to be made good. The new play area entrance gates are shown on the CAD drawing. Council would like to have a playground consisting of two areas divided by pathways and /or low fencing to create different zones, one area for younger children including preschool and a second area for larger equipment for older children. The external park boundary fence does not need to be included in the costs, this is being provided as part of the demolition and refurbishment from other funding. The area will require different multi- surface textures for all weather play and seating and/or picnic tables. The play equipment must be steel/metal and can contain a selection of swings, slides, roundabouts, climbing equipment and where possible must have consideration for all inclusive play. Where plastic type materials are used, if possible, these should be recycled. An itemised quotation is required to identify all costs together with illustrated layout designs to consider, the design will be assessed on quality and play value. The layout designs will consist of a maximum of 3, A1 size illustrations. The steel/metal must have a guarantee of 20 years+ and all other equipment must have a similar guarantees. All designs will be consider by Council and the final designs will be consulted by all our local schools and nursery's. The winning bid will be notified.
