Description

YMCA London City and North (YLCAN) is seeking to appoint an Interior Design practice to develop coordinated interior design proposals to RIBA Stage 3+ for the redevelopment of its supported accommodation scheme at Crouch End, London. The development will deliver approximately 174 bedspaces within a co-living model, including shared kitchens and lounges, communal areas, staff facilities, and support spaces. Scope of services will include (but not be limited to): • Development of interior design to RIBA Stage 3+ level • Coordination with architect and multidisciplinary design team • Preparation of room data sheets, finishes schedules and FF&E specifications • Joinery design and technical detailing • Wayfinding and signage strategy • Contribution to tender documentation for a Design & Build procurement route • Integration of inclusive, sustainable and psychologically-informed design principles suitable for supported housing The design must support the creation of safe, inclusive, aspirational and durable environments for young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Minimum Participation Requirements: Bidders will be required, as part of the tender submission, to demonstrate: • Experience in a minimum of two comparable projects (supported housing, co-living or student accommodation) • Experience working with public sector, local authority, or third sector clients • Proven capability to deliver coordinated RIBA Stage 3+ design packages • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary design team environment Failure to provide satisfactory evidence of the above may result in the submission being deemed non-compliant and excluded from further evaluation. The Contract Notice will allow a minimum of 30 days for tender submissions.

Relevant Experience and Track Record - 35% Assessment of the bidder's experience delivering comparable projects, including supported housing, co-living or student accommodation schemes of similar scale and complexity. 2. Methodology and Approach - 30% Assessment of the proposed approach to delivering RIBA Stage 3+ services, including design development, coordination, value engineering and delivery of tender-ready information. 3. Project Team and Resourcing - 20% Assessment of the proposed team structure, experience, and capacity to deliver the project. 4. Programme and Delivery - 15% Assessment of the proposed programme and ability to meet the required timescales. Quality responses will be scored on a scale of 0 to 5: 0 - No response or unacceptable 1 - Very poor 2 - Poor 3 - Acceptable 4 - Good 5 - Excellent Scores will then be weighted according to the percentages above. PricePrice will be scored using a relative scoring method. The lowest compliant price will receive the maximum score of 30 points. Other bids will be scored proportionally using the following formula: (Lowest Price / Bidder's Price) x 30price30.00%

Participation

Conditions suppliers must meet to bid.

Turnover requirement: £200k Bidders must demonstrate financial stability and may be required to provide accounts or other financial information upon request. Bidders will be required to hold the following minimum levels of insurance: • Professional Indemnity Insurance: £1,000,000 • Public Liability Insurance: £5,000,000 Equivalent cover will be accepted. Evidence of insurance will be required prior to contract award.

Bidders must demonstrate suitable technical and professional ability to perform the contract. As a minimum, bidders must provide evidence of: • Delivery of at least two comparable projects within the last five years, involving supported housing, co-living or student accommodation • Experience working with public sector, local authority, or third sector clients • Capability to deliver RIBA Stage 3+ design services, including preparation of tender-stage design information • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary design team environment The Authority may exclude bidders that fail to demonstrate the above minimum requirements.
