Whitwell Cemetery Car Park

WHITWELL CEMETERY CAR PARK - BACKGROUND Whitwell Parish Council entered into a 99 year lease with a local farmer in 2007 to use a piece of land on High Street Whitwell S80 4RE (adjacent to Westfields), as a car park for the use of cemetery visitors. The parish council seeks a contractor to clear and resurface the car park and car park entrance, install drop kerb access to the car park and install a verge crossing over the road with dropped kerb access. Planning permission was granted on 15.3.06, however the project was started within the 3 year planning period with some site clearance, work on diverting the path and a height restriction barrier has also been installed.
