Industrial advances in helmet technology suggest that an enhanced combat helmet is available. As such, the user is seeking a combat helmet solution, with enhanced ballistic and non-ballistic protection, that is suitable for the full spectrum of operational activities and environments. Tenderers are to develop, test and deliver 4 x functional helmets that achieve the specified requirements (ballistic and non-ballistic performance) by a single, scalable protection helmet system.
