Description

Independent advocacy service for adults which provides all aspects of service provision relating to statutory advocacy within the service specification. Statutory provision comprises of advocates in the following areas: a) Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Capacity (Amendment) Act 2019 IMCA - Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy b) Mental Health Act (1983 as amended 2007) IMHA - Independent Mental Health Advocacy c) Care Act 2014 Independent Care Act Advocacy d) Health and Social Care Act 2012, Section 223a Independent NHS Complaints Advocacy e) Care Act 2014, Sections 67 and 68 /The Care and Support (Independent Advocacy) Regulations 2014 Generic (non-statutory) Advocacy The Service Provider will be expected to offer a flexible service model to meet any changes in requirement with updated practice guidance, policy and legislation. Non-statutory advocacy is to be promoted though signposting and fully utilising the existing 3rd sector Providers. Non-statutory will include attendance at client groups, voice groups and executive boards for client groups such as Learning Disabilities.
