Description
Gateshead Council (the Council) wishes to procure an online software solution that will allow its Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications to be processed online via an e-bulk system. The Council's aim is to make the application process more efficient by speeding up the length of time it takes to complete DBS checks for prospective employees, services, licence holders and umbrella clients. The Council's umbrella clients comprise of companies and organisations within Gateshead who use our DBS check service. Currently our clients and potential employees complete a combination of paper applications and online web forms to apply for a DBS check. There is substantial manual intervention on the Council's behalf resulting in a lengthy process. As a result, we are seeking to introduce an externally hosted e-bulk solution to process multiple DBS checks in a more streamlined and efficient manner. In order to maintain the Council's registered and umbrella body status, we are seeking a solution that will enable us to remain as the registered body with authority to countersign our own applications. Go to www.nepo.org to access tender documents.
