Appointment of Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) for Vaccine Production

Public Health England (PHE) has awarded a contract to ABL Europe SAS to provide comprehensive services supporting vaccine development through its manufacturing. The project required establishing manufacturing conditions based on existing knowledge of Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) viral vector production and quality control (QC) testing, to support Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) release of drug product by end of Q1 / early Q2 2021. The contract was awarded following extensive market research and publication of Voluntary Ex ante Transparency Notice (VEAT) notice in Official Journal of European Union (OJEU) - reference # 2019-042862 (document number 2019/S 245-603016). The contract is until 31.03.21 with an option of 2 extensions of 12 months each.
