Winter Maintenance Services 2022/2023 (Barrow, Eden and South Lakeland Areas)

Cumbria County Council requires Contractors to provide various Winter maintenance services within the Barrow, Eden and South Lakeland areas of the County of Cumbria to support out internal highways teams. The services are split into 4 lots as follows: Lot 1 – Tractor and Gritter Routes in South Cumbria (Refer to Lot Documentation for further information) Lot 2 – Drivers for Gritting Routes in South Cumbria (Refer to Lot Documentation for further information) Lot 3 – Gritter Driver and Mate (Ad hoc) (Refer to Lot Documentation for further information) Lot 4 – Snow Clearance (Refer to Lot Documentation for further information) Contractors can bid for any one or more of the lots and routes as they wish. Where contractors bid for more than one route they may asked to provide evidence that they have the resources to deliver all the routes bid for. Please note that Cumbria is currently undergoing a Local Government Reorganisation. Government has announced that Cumbria County Council and the six district councils are to be replaced by two unitary authorities with effect from 01 April 2023. This Framework Agreement is for use by the Contracting Authorities identified in the contract notice and any successor council as defined in The Local Government (Structural Changes) (Transfer of Functions, Property, Rights and Liabilities) Regulations 2008 to those Contracting Authorities
