The department is seeking to undertake research on consumer trust of personal data use, including in relation to the application of the UK's data protection regime. This work aims to assess the ability to achieve consumer trust in relation to personal data. We want to understand this issue in the context of rapidly evolving technologies, and their potential societal and economic impacts.
