2gether Support Solutions was formed in April 2018 as a new, wholly owned subsidiary company of one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust established the company to reflect its strategic aim to secure strong vibrant core facilities and support services for the long term, having signed a 25 year contract with 2gether. Recognising that these services would be best delivered in a new service model, a private independent trading company was formed, and who would build on the existing service model whilst developing opportunities for greater service provision in the future. The Authorising Engineer (Electrical LV) shall be appointed by the Director of Capital & Estates (Designated Person) and shall be responsible for advising on the implementation, management and annual auditing and monitoring of the application of HTM 06 together with advising on 2gether Support Solutions Ltd compliance with SFG20, statutory regulations and best practice. The Authorising Engineer (Electrical LV) shall provide support to the Director of Capital and Estates on the operational management of the electrical safety programme to eradicate the 2gether Support Solutions Ltd residual backlog maintenance risks relating to Electrical Safety (identified in appropriate risk assessments, the 2gether Support Solutions Ltd risk register and regular condition surveys) and infrastructure capacity review. The Authorising Engineer (Electrical LV) shall provide independent professional advice and support to the Senior Operational Manager, the Authorised Persons, the Estates and Capital Development Teams and the Director of Capital & Estates for all new developments. The Authorising Engineer shall be appointed by 2gether Support Solutions Ltd on behalf of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and shall act as an independent professional adviser to 2gether Support Solutions Ltd.
