Description
Historic England and Bristol City Council are looking for a creative partner to deliver a series of photographic workshops and co-produced exhibitions across 9 Bristol high streets: Filton Avenue, Two Mile Hill, Shirehampton, Stapleton Rd, Brislington, Church Rd, East St, Filwood Broadway and Stockwood. This commission is part of Historic England's High Street Heritage Action Zones Cultural Programme (2020-24) and is inspired by Picturing High Streets, a three-year photography commission delivered by Photoworks to create a contemporary portrait of England's high streets. As part of the Cultural Programme, and in addition to Picturing High Streets, Historic England is working with Bristol City Council to commission a creative photographic response to Bristol's high streets called Picturing Bristol. Photographers and/or photographic organisations will work in the 9 local Bristol high streets to co-create a series of activities and/or photographic outputs that will build a contemporary portrait of Bristol's high streets and the communities who use them.
