Description

The CWGC is constructing a free to enter visitor centre which is due to open in Spring 2019. Situated at our workshop at Rue Angèle Richard, 62217 Beaurains, France, the visitor centre will offer a 'behind-the-scenes' insight into the ongoing work of the Commission, from headstone production to crafting bespoke wooden and bronze cemetery features. It will also show the process of recovery and reburial of remains, as well as the industrial scale of our worldwide horticultural commitment. Integral to the Centre will be a multi-media experience, incorporating graphics, interactives and AV content. The main method of communication will be an audio guide, which will enable self-guided tours of the site. Visitor capacity at Beaurains will be limited to one pre-booked coach party at a time, along with any additional independent travellers who will not be required to book. Ensuring a clear and efficient visitor flow with the aid of the audio guide is essential. The Commission is now seeking tenders for the supply, installation and on-going support of the audio guides. Full details, including instructions on how to participate in the tender can be found on the Commissions E-Procurement portal: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/cwgc/aspx/Home
