Description

Essential door to door transport services for older and disabled Londoners simultaneously covering ALL of the London and entire greater London geographic area. The provider must be a taxi operator (not an IT provider), and must evidence provision of all of this service coverage, including all vehicles, without sub-contracting to anyone else. Scheduled AND Ad-hoc Taxi and PHV services for Dial-a-Ride and taxicard members, covering gaps in minibus availability with accessible vehicle options. - Volumes are seasonal with demand being greatest in Christmas and Easter school holiday periods, consisting of approximately:- - between 0 and 30 (multi-trip) taxis on any one day, average 10 on a day, 300 a month, trend is slowly increasing - between 1 and 9 (single trip) taxis on any one day, average 4 on a day, 250 a month, trend is slowly increasing. - The Licensed Vehicles consist of 3 types, and all 3 are to be available to each and every ride to each individual customer. Customers dictate what type of vehicle they require, which are:- - Taxis (black cabs or equivalent) which have wheelchair access; - Private Hire Vehicles which do not normally have wheelchair access; and - Low floor which do not have wheelchair access.
