Description
Description of procurement: The Contractor will be required to manufacture and supply the MOD Medal Office on an as required Call-Off Order basis (therefore exact numbers are not known and the quantities shown are approximate annual volumes, for guidance purposes only and not a commitment to place orders) with the following: Current Operational and Non Operational Gallantry Awards (50), Meritorious Service Awards (30), Discontinued Operational and Non Operational Decorations Gallantry Awards (5), Memorial Awards (50), World War I Medals and Stars (65), World War II Medals and Stars (7 800), Post World War II Campaign Medals (3 830),Coronation/Jubilee Medals (230), Current Meritorious and Long Service Medals (12 600), Other Efficiency and Long Service Decorations and Medals (50), Current Gallantry and Meritorious Service Award Bars (5),World War I and World War II Clasps (620), Post World War II Campaign Medal Clasps (2 825), Other Clasps to Efficiency and Long Service Decorations and Medals (25), Ribbon Emblems for Commendations (260), Ribbon Emblems (1 160), Badges (40 000), Medal Mounting services (140), Various Ribbon (625 Metres), Medal Boxes(25 000) and Medal presentation Cases (2 000). Some of the above will be required as boxed sets. The Contractor will be required to undertake 3D scanning and produce stereolithography (.stl) files. The Contractor may be required to manufacture and supply any newly declared Medals, Awards, Clasps, Ribbons and other associated items (this may require the manufacture and supply of large volumes in short timescales).The Contractor may be required to assist the Authority in the design of any new items. The Contractor may be required to manufacture and supply Medals and Awards to other Government Departments. Suppliers interested in this requirement should follow the process detailed below in section VI.3, this will give access to the online Dynamic Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (DPPQ), completion and submission of the DPQQ will register your interest and your request to participate in the competition. DPPQs should be completed and submitted by 11:00 Fri 8.12.2017. Input of the access code (ES23KKYA96) when registered on the www.contracts.mod.uk website will also give access to the DPQQ and supporting documentation. Those suppliers who are successful at the PQQ selection stage will be in Invited to Tender, information on the PQQ selection criteria can be found in the DPQQ. No business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting framework agreement or contract indeed there is no guarantee that any framework agreement or contract will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation etc. will be paid if a tender or resulting framework agreement is withdrawn for any reason.Bidders should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position.
