Description
The µ-VIS X-ray Imaging Centre is the University of Southampton's dedicated centre for computed tomographic imaging and a founding partner of the National Research Facility for lab-based X-ray CT (NXCT). The centre combines state-of-the-art equipment and 25 years of experience, plus the expertise of over 40 academic staff from across the University, offering a unique integrated resource for advanced 3D imaging. As part of a recent funding effort, µ-VIS wishes to add another instance of high-performance storage to its infrastructure: an AMD EPYC-based GRAID system with 100 gigabit connectivity and of the order of tens of terabytes usable storage capacity to provide a platform for processing next-generation reconstruction algorithms for tomographic data.
