Description
Fort Cumberland is a large late 18th century angled bastioned fort, the site is primarily used as the base for the Historic England archeological teams. It contains several buildings and Casemates each having their own use, some parts of the site have been sub-let to tenants and the Contractors attention is drawn to the site plan and schedule of works by area at the end of this document. These comprise mainly of four Houses accommodating individual offices over 3 floors, a Reception building including a library and meeting rooms, and a Science block containing laboratories. There are also additional outbuildings which are used for the processing and storage of the archeological finds as well as several Casemates. The site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument with many of the buildings within grade II* listed. This Specification describes the Facilities Management services required at the Historic England Offices. By way of summary, HE requires the Contractor to deliver planned and reactive Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health and Building Fabric maintenance
