Description
UK Research and Innovation - British Antarctic Survey are to purchase a Time of Flight Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor that will allow the measurement of the chemical composition of atmospheric aerosol. The system being purchased is the only system in the market that is able to take measurements in very low concentrations that BAS will encounter. Aerodyne Research Inc are the only supplier in the market that has a Time of Flight Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor that is capable of measuring the very low concentrations British Antarctic Survey will encounter. Therefore the direct award contract was compliant under Regulation 32, (2), (b), (ii) Competition is absent for technical reasons
