Description
Cumberland Council have commissioned a provider to deliver an advice and equipment service for people who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have dual sensory loss. The service comprises four main elements: • Information, advice and guidance • Care Act assessments • Equipment • Prevention and deaf awareness training. It will be available to all adults (and young people aged 16-17 in transition from adult social care to children's services) who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have dual sensory loss and are resident in Cumberland. Referrals will come from the council, NHS, other public or third sector organisations, as well as from people themselves. The maximum budget for this contract for the duration of the agreement ( initial term of 12 months with a potential extension of one up to 12-month period) is £170,150.
