Description
The Women's Centre currently deliver a range of services to support women in Kirklees. Supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse with complex needs was identified as a gap in existing provision by the needs assessment undertaken in 2021 in support of the new statutory duty to support victims of domestic abuse, and their children, in safe accommodation. During the previous contract period 2022 to 2023 the Women Centre supported 111 women on the programme. The women presented with numerous issues where help, advice and signposting was provided to assist in making a positive change.
