Description

Brief Description of Requirement: BEIS will need a model that will allow them to understand the flows of chemical inputs, intermediates and products through the plants and businesses making up the sector. The model will also need to include employment, turnover and related business information as well as information on operational costs for plants in order to help model and understand the consequences of changes to the supply-chains. BEIS will need to: • Understand the short-, medium-, and long-term impacts of disruptions to supply of chemicals • Assess the consequences of business-decisions to increase or decrease the production of chemicals at a plant • Develop and understanding of the consequences of changes to tariffs • Identify opportunities for inward investment in the chemicals-sector Please ensure you review all attached information to ensure a full understanding of this requirement.
