There is no other instrument on the market or in development that can analyse cellular metabolism at this high level. We were one of the pioneer research groups to adopt this technology and published several papers in high impact journals, which could not have been produced without the Seahorse Technology. The Seahorse XFE is now an essential tool in cancer metabolism studies and mitochondrial toxicity research worldwide. Both these areas are priority research projects within the MRC Toxicology Unit strategic plan.
