Description
As a part of the Science Museum's masterplan, proposals have been put forward to convert the existing galleries on the 4th and 5th floor into a new multifunction events space. The intention is to undertake a full strip out of the existing spaces to form generous and functional arrival spaces with welcoming and informative reception points. Alongside the main events areas on each level there will be new WCs, cloakrooms, lobbies and kitchens to serve the space. The purpose of this enabling works package is to strip out the space and reveal the existing structure prior to the main fit-out refurbishment works. The works will include an extensive strip-out of redundant services, partitions, interior wall and ceiling linings, and exhibition paraphernalia.
