The aim of this study is to understand best practice in the design and installation of domestic battery energy storage systems, in particular to minimize the danger of fire arising from battery or other component failure. The objectives of this work are to give Office policy makers a clear understanding of the safety risks to consumers due to the malfunction of domestic battery energy storage systems, and suggest ways in which these risks can be mitigated. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
