Description
Derbyshire County Council (DCC) are responsible for maintaining the highways within the County of Derbyshire. The A6 is the main arterial route through the County from Greater Manchester through the Peak District National Park and the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site into the City of Derby.\r Ongoing management of the A6 highway has identified the need for retaining wall repairs. Government funding aided investigations for repair solutions. DCC is seeking bids for the repair Works.\r Tenderers should note that this procurement process has been separated into Lots as detailed below (each a "Works package"). DCC has a limited budget for the Works within each Lot and it is therefore the case that DCC may not be able to award some or all of the Lots and/or may not be able to commence Works under some or all of the Lots. If a Lot is awarded to a Provider, it may be the case that DCC cannot commence the Works under that Lot. It might also be the case that DCC has to terminate a Lot once Works have commenced. DCC will keep awarded Providers up to date in this respect.\r Please be aware Works will be issued under the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract Option A Lump Sum.
